 WELCOME

This online resource tool, intended for both professional and public use, is manually compiled with reference to an extensive collection of bilingual medical dictionaries and glossaries published by institutions and healthcare authorities in the People's Republic of China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

All Chinese characters used at this site are displayed in GIF image format thus obviating the need for Chinese text-support.

 NOTE ON USAGE

This online dictionary currently employs a manual search function. Simply click on the letters sprayed on the left frame. An internal search engine may be incorporated in future when the dictionary is completed.

With rare exceptions, British spelling is employed in the entirety of this dictionary. Example: Look for 'haem' instead of 'heme'.

 CAUTION

Where synonyms clash, this site seeks to provide the choice of Chinese terminological equivalents most widely used amongst health authorities in the People's Republic of China.

Note that authorities in Taiwan province, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Southeast Asian nations may translate a particular medical term in slightly dissimilar ways from those listed here.

SITE FUNDING
